Ingredients

  • 1 cup grits - stone ground coarse cornmeal (in baking aisle)
  • 4 cups liquid (combo of milk, heavy whipping cream, water)
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • Pepper
  • About 4 oz Smoked Gouda

Instructions

  1. Boil liquid and salt
  2. Whisk in grits
  3. Turn heat to low
  4. Cook for 20-25 mins stirring every 3-4 mins
  5. Add cheese and pepper to taste
